Exhaust Mod

During the snow week and since I was home from work not feeling well, I got to play a lot on the internet.
One thing I found was a inexpensive exhaust modification I can do to my bike that should make it sound better.

The only thing I am worried about is that the guys that did the mod, did them when he bikes were new or 1 to 2 years old. There is an update post that says:
"...I guess it was easier to get the funnels out 10 years ago (when this mod was first written) than it is now after they have 10 more years of accumulated crud on them... ;) "


My bike is 19 years old now!! So I am anticipating more trouble.
