Today, Alex received his Christmas present a bit early.
He was wanting to install a new exhaust system on his '98 V6 Mustang. He had a system all picked out on the Internet. It would have been about $400 with shipping. That's where I got involved. I took him to a couple of muffler shops locally and got quotes.
Pronto Muffler gave us the best quote of $540 for a true dual cat back exhaust system with Flowmaster 40's. It didn't take much to convince Alex that this was the deal!! for an extra $140, we get a true dual system instead of a pretend dual system, and we just have to watch.
The install took 2 hours, but went he car was backed out... wow... what an improvement. The resonance in the car is awesome, but not overpowering. Outside it sounds great as you drive off. The only thing we wish is that it had a bit louder idle note.
